The number 3 has religious references. The trinity is the essence of God. It would be however presumptuous to exaggerate something theologically at this point which is all too earthly.
And yet the ROCKTAILS are also about a unity of three: Musicians, fans and organizers. That each of the three pillars must exist in order to realize culture the last year and a half of the pandemic made abundantly clear.
Niels Burmeister, the owner of the Rostock Moya Club, needed concerts, the bands of the hanseatic city and the surrounding areas hungered for opportunities to perform and the fans yearned for music.
So Bad Penny, Five Men On The Rocks, Jackbeat and Max Zeug got together on October 24, 2020 - a week before the hard lockdown – in front of a frenetic audience to pay homage to some of the giants of music history. A memorable evening full symbolic power: rock music lives, culture lives. And all of this through the unity of three.

Die Zahl 3 hat religiöse Bezüge. Die Dreieinigkeit macht das Wesen Gottes aus.
Es wäre allerdings vermessen, an dieser Stelle etwas theologisch zu überhöhen, was nur allzu irdisch ist. Und doch geht es auch bei den ROCKTAILS um eine Einheit aus Dreien: Musiker, Fans und Veranstalter. Dass jede der drei Säulen vorhanden sein muss, um Kultur zu realisieren, zeigten die letzten eineinhalb Pandemiejahre überdeutlich.
Niels Burmeister, dem Chef des Rostocker Moya-Clubs, fehlten die Konzerte, Bands der Hansestadt und Umgebung gierten nach Auftrittsmöglichkeiten und die Fans hungerten nach Musik.
Also taten sich Bad Penny, Five Men On The Rocks, Jackbeat und Max Zeug zusammen, um am 24. Oktober 2020 - eine Woche vor dem harten Lockdown - vor einem frenetischen Publikum einigen Giganten der Musikgeschichte zu huldigen. Ein denkwürdiger Abend voll Symbolkraft: Rockmusik lebt, Kultur lebt. Und das alles durch die Einheit aus Dreien.
